AVS will supply the TMXScan®
tools and LSEPatrol®
software to a client's existing inspection contractor.
There is expected to be a reduction in time and unit
cost when using this new technology compared to the
dig and bore method, however, we charge a unit base
rate per pole for the licensed use of these tools. As
a result the client receives a far superior assessment
and outputs from a break-even unit rate after system
changeover.
AVS strongly advocates
a continuous regime of training and audits to ensure
the integrity of data. The services AVS offers to clients
include training, mentioning, auditing and further structural
analysis. The rates for these services are discounted
according to project volume and frequency.
AVS can provide an objective
and nondestructive alternative for the auditing of existing
assets based on Australian Standard AS 4676. We all
need to appreciate that, under current auditing methods,
a subjective method of inspection is being assessed
using the exact same subjective method for auditing.
Using this type of audit procedure does not achieve
an increase in test method accuracy. Most importantly,
it is compounding the destructive test activities at
ground line.
AVS will undertake the
structural analysis of the assets using the
Best® Engineering. The information will be provided
to AVS by the inspection contractor as instructed by
the client. AVS will undertake this work on a per pole
unit rate with associated performance measures. This
frees the clients valuable design resources for other
functions.
AVS provides a comprehensive
asset analysis service for multiple assets or entire
distribution systems. Using LSEData®
we are able to model the combined serviceability, rates
of decay and future profiles of the assets. AVS
will undertake all LSEData® projects for the client.
These projects will be quoted per project.
