AVS
Australia offer the following
products and services for wood pole structural assessment:
TMXScan®
(Timber
Member Cross Section scanning)
- The TMXScan®
system is the most advanced and reliable non-destructive
system for assessing the residual strengths of wooden
poles.
LSEPatrol®
(Line Service Engineering
field capture)
- In the hands of competently
trained lines mechanics, LSEPatrol® has the capacity
to capture data and analyse overhead line structures
of complexity covering up to 90% of the configurations
in a normal network. (The remainder of the complex
structures can be modelled in Best® Engineering).
LSEPatrol® has full conformance with, and compliance
to, AS/NZS 4676.
Best®
Engineering (Comprehensive
structural design)
- The Best® Engineering
package allows designers and engineers to undertake
desktop designs from data provided by field personnel.
(usually only one site visit is required). This structural
engineering tool complements the skills of designers
but maximises compliance to Australian standards.
It provides accurate designs, mitigating risk of liability
and over engineering.
Best® Engineering is compliant with limited state
modeling of ESAA C(b) 1.
LSEData®
(Comprehensive asset data
analysis)
- LSEData®
analysis collates and analyses a sample of asset data
and provides clients with clear, concise and accurate
forecasting of defect rates, inspection frequencies
and asset value. This high level analysis and forecasting
is a must for asset managers and owners. It provides
a framework for strategic asset planning and policy
development.
The AVS
System calculates the serviceability of structures based
on a defined 'Serviceability Index'. The Serviceability
Index is simply 'factored strength over
factored load'.
